History of the Village:

“Wurley Court” was opened on the 8th July 1961 by his Excellency the Governor of New South Wales Lieutenant-General Sir Eric Woodward KCMG, CB, CBE, DSO.

Originally the home of the Windeyer Family “Wurley” commemorated its 100th Anniversary on the 1st November 2003. The village still incorporates the old homestead which is the centre piece of the complex, giving the village a very special ambience.
