History of the Village:

“Ivan Court” was opened in 1971 and is named after Major General Sir Ivan N. Dougherty C.B.E., D.S.O., E.D. Chairman of Vasey’s Board of Management 15/6/1961 to 31/1/1962. Sir Ivan also served as Vasey’s Chairman of the Board of Directors for the period 24/8/1966 to 8/10/1968.
